The department of Neurology seeks to improve the care of patients with neurologic diseases - conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, or muscles. Our consultants work together to evaluate and treat people utilizing the most advanced techniques and technologies.
Services:In a stroke, the brain suddenly stops functioning properly due to either low blood flow or bleeding in the brain. Low-blood- flow strokes are called “ischemic” strokes, are usually caused by blockage of a brain artery by a blood clot and are emergencies. If treated quickly enough with blood-clot breaker medicine, it is possible to reverse much of the devastating effect of an ischemic stroke.
